Hey friends. We are driving to visit family for Christmas and are looking for good books on CD to listen to in the car. If you've read or listened to any book books lately, will you post your recommendations for me! Thanks!

I just bought John Bytheway's new CD. I really liked it. I read Water for Elephants this week. It's a good book. However it has a few graphic love making scenes. And the Elephant goes thru abuse.. I cried. The Memory Keepers Daughter is good too, I have not finished that one yet. Good Reading

I have a whole bunch of audiobooks that you could borrow...

I just finished "Mayflower" which is a pretty interesting account of the pilgrims, their children & grandchildren and the Natives.

Another really good one is "Team of Rivals". It is about Abraham Lincoln's cabinet and how he managed the egos and personalities of his right hand men.

Flags of Our Fathers was pretty interesting. It is the story behind the famous flag raisers and the true story behind the Iwo-Jima flag raising.

John Adams and 1776 are both winners.

We enjoyed "The Minority Report and other short stories by Phillip K. Dick" but I'm not sure if that's at the library.

The Prydain Chronicles are fun (children's literature).

I don't know, the Mayflower and "Team of Rivals" sound pretty interesting to me - I may have to check those out myself.

Good luck getting that figured out and save traveling!
