The O.R. Playlist

In just a few days I'll be checking myself into the hospital to have baby #2. Since part of this delivery will be spent laying flat on an operating room table, I thought I'd go a little bit more prepared than last baby delivery. I'll go armed with good music. I'm loading my iPod (1) to keep me from having the panic attack I had when I was having a c-section with baby #1 and (2) to give me something to do while I'm being stitched up and I have some alone time when they whisk my baby and husband away for clean up, measurements, etc (baby, not husband).

So, what would you be listening to if you were in my shoes or, well, unsightly hospital gown? I'm working on a playlist and I'd love the hear your suggestions. I'll also be in the hospital for the better part of four days, but am only allowed to have the baby in my room (at least for the first two days) if someone else is in there with me (c-sections make you fairly immobile). So any great downloadable books, short stories or other fun ideas would be great.

Do you like The Lord of the Rings? I have the entire trilogy (book form) on CD. Mellow music like Norah Jones would be cool to listen to also. Let me know if you want to download anything into iTunes. Good luck with baby #2!

Hey, so i just made a piczo site and it looks so awesome but it seemed that something was missing. Than I realized I should add some music so my friend recommended a really cool site.www.hypster.com. It's so quick and easy, anyone could do it! In a matter of minuets I had made a account and uploaded the music onto my music player, not only that but You can also edit your music player to match your site colours! And if you don't want to upload your own music, you can search on other user’s playlists and take any songs you want! It works for piczo, myspace; facebook, bebo etc. check it out! www.hypster.com

I love Barnes and Noble Meet the Authors Podcast. They are about 15 minutes long and increase my list of books to read everytime I listen (they are my new walking partner). Good luck!!!!

wow, so tomorrow is the big day. Good luck to you. I would highly recommend reading/listening to The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale. That is my favorite book. And music... some cds I love right now are Rascal Flatts me and my gang, Celtic Woman a new journey, and Thoroughly Modern Millie. I hope all goes well tomorrow!

We're thinking about you - you probably already have your playlist... we hope things go smoothly and are so excited that you'll be able to cuddle that sweet little baby soon!
